Adding subgroups to a group

In order to finely tune your reporting and course assignment processes you can now recreate actual company structure with nested groups feature.

  1. Go to Team > Groups 
  2. Pick a group you'd like to add a subgroup to and switch to Subgroups tab
  3. Hit Create a subgroup button and fill in all relevant fields:

No worries if you chose a wrong parent group - you can change it any time.

Adding users to a subgroup

You can add users to a subgroup in two ways:

  1. Go to Team > Groups > YOURGROUP > Subgroups > YOURSUBGROUP and click Add users
  2. Go to Team > Users > YOURUSER > Groups and click Add to group

First way is better when you need to add multiple users to the same group, while the last way is preferred for adding a single user to multiple groups.

Note, there is search and filtering available in this dialogue to help you find necessary users and groups.

Assigning courses to a subgroup

For any course you can granularly manage assignment by assigning it to a group or a subgroup:

Note, when you assign a course to a group it gets assigned to all members of the current group and all nested subgroups, but it does not apply to groups above in hierarchy (e.g. parent group of the current one).
